Your Child Development first year - month by month

The first year of their child's development is an evolution and exciting for you and your child. See the difference month to month.

1-2 months after nine months in the womb,

The baby becomes familiar with their surroundings. The familiar sound of your voice will be comforting for the baby. The second month will see their newborn baby becoming increasingly aware of their surroundings. At this stage, your baby can recognize his voice and turning his head toward you when you speak. You can respond verbally by cooing and even begin to smile.

Your newborn does not have full control of body movements. You can pull your arms and legs spontaneously when surprised. The second month, your movements should be less unequal, softer and less involuntary.

Get up close and show them the colors and bold shapes. Babies are often myopic and are able to see objects from 8 to 14 inches apart. Encourage your child's visual development by showing colored objects of different shapes and sizes.

3 to 4 months

In the third month, your baby will have more control over his movements. When lying on his stomach and use his elbows, he will be able to lift his chest and lift the head. He learns to use his hands. He will reach for objects, grab his feet, and by the fourth month may be able to hold a small object.

Your child become more vocal. He laughed and squeal when he is happy and cries when he is confused. By the fourth month, your newborn try to make different sounds.

5-6 months:

The fifth month, the child is physically stronger. He is able to keep your head still and if I sit propped up with pillows. By the sixth month, he can sit independently. He will also be able to roll in one direction. You can groped to start the scan.

You will notice that your child has become more expressive. Begins to tell the consonant-vowel combination. He can raise his hand in a gesture to pick up.

7-8 months:

Your baby is very aware of the unconditional love of her parents. He may try to push your limits to see how far he can go.

In the seventh month of your child wants to go. He can stand while holding onto something or someone.

9 to 10 months now,

The leg strength of your child has improved significantly. Your child spends a lot of time practicing walking. He will be able to sit upright. He may be able to run for a short period of time.

Your child will understand simple commands and words like no and good girl. Your child may also want to say mama or daddy. He will try to form words by speaking gibberish. By the tenth month, your child can wave hello or goodbye to visitors.

The child may have its own bottle or cup. You can give your baby a spoon to encourage self-feeding. 11-12 months:
