Interview with Chef 5 * Hotel in Cape Town

This month, Hospitality Jobs Africa interviews with Chief Executive chef 5 * Leading Hotels of the World, Cape Grace Hotel Cape Town: Malika - Chef Cape Grace Hotel Hospitality Jobs Africa: How did you become a chef? I was obsessed with food, until I remember. My grandmother was a great cook and so my mother, my earliest memories are waiting for something to come out of the oven, so I could taste.

I studied business management, the placement service was my first pressure Cape Sun Inter Continental in the high-cuisine, transcendent, that adrenaline rush. I knew that `s what I wanted and I` ve never looked back.

I also spent 18 months in the United Kingdom to satisfy my curiosity about the culinary scene and worked abroad as party chief in a small number of Cape Town `s five-star properties after finishing my studies.

Hospitality Jobs Africa: What are the challenges you face in your work as a chef in a great hotel 5 *? He works 24 hours SA, so that not only stops. You `ve just have to be ready for anything all the time. Hospitality Jobs Africa: What inspires your menus and cooking style? Local production and very tasty.
