Pulled pork crockpot recipes - Debate regions of South Sandwich

Youre sitting in a nice little family restaurant somewhere in the South. Voices rise a little in the room. You can say something is the subject of heated debate. Its rival teams? Policy? Religion? No, nothing more banal than that. We are talking about who has the best pulled pork crockpot recipes in the South.

There seems no end to this debate. We have to examine a wide range of recipes, including classics such as Memphis-style, style, South Carolina and North Carolina-style Southern style. Also listen for fans of pork from Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida, to name a few. It seems more people from the South say they have the original official, and the best recipes for these sandwiches in the South, but the world.

What I have noticed that no one takes a recipe of pulled pork which formally belongs to the region. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of recipes that can include anywhere else in the south. So many variations in Dry rubs and sauce can be found, and there are many more variations of the methods of cooking and serve the pulled pork sandwiches. Not find out what are the ingredients for sauces and dry rubs are surely in what area. Nor do I determine what effort is a method of cooking in the region.

What Im doing is to set some common methods to cook and serve this popular sandwich, and suggests that these methods are in general. If this method sounds like the original hometown, its probably ... as if it were someone else! In other words, the debate live. See if some components and manufacturing methods that make pulled pork sandwiches, what it is:

Vinegar - You can use white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, or any of a variety of vinegars available. The idea of using vinegar, no matter the genre, is the same. Pork Salsa is usually a mix of sweet and bitter. Many recipes claim to be official Memphis style pork, precisely because the use of vinegar in the sauce. However, almost any sandwich pulled pork sauce barbecue vinegar as an ingredient marry, irrespective of the region. Well never know. I can not say I have never seen a sandwich of spiced pulled pork and Memphis, but that does not mean hes not there.

Brown Sugar - barbecue sauces and dry rubs may contain brown sugar sweetness that gives the whole balance of sweet and salty like a pork sandwich should be thrown away. A simple mixture of brown sugar, vinegar and a dash of hot sauce or condiment is often spicy barbecue places in Florida and Alabama. What this simple recipe from these countries is something that you never know. I can not say I have never seen a sandwich of spiced pulled pork and Memphis, but that does not mean hes not there.

Dry Rubs - Although dry rubs have always existed, and used in all regions of the country, used a dry rub for pulled pork sandwiches contain some standard ingredients. Are especially cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt and paprika in a dry rub for pork pulled. All that is added after taking a single person in this recipe cooking.Different sectors in the country can claim that using dry rubs, barbecue sauce ever buoyant, but this method is so widespread that it seems impossible to identify the original creator. So of course you can use both a dry rub and barbecue sauce, so it becomes a bit more confusing.

Seasoning - BBQ sauce or as a condiment is widely recognized as a standard in each area. Even when pulled pork ever dose of barbecue sauce mixed with it, there is usually a bottle on the table. Youll also generally find vinegar pepper, mustard, and even a little Tabasco in most regions. What you will hopefully never find the ketchup on the table. It would not go and in a region. Something many of us believe that coleslaw add on top of a pulled pork sandwich was certainly a key Memphis.

Cooking Methods - It is not easy to define a method of cooking one state or region. Grilling the smoking roast, stew or are not rare in any region. However, the wells of smoke or slow roasting was the method preferred by many people in our country, and now their ancestors can still use the same methods the same. It is still difficult to prove any method belonging to a particular region. While Memphis is famous for its wells smoked on the grill, you'll find in these pools as throughout the south. Of course, use your slow cooker is an ancient method, if the source of this method is widely used.

As I searched for a wide range of recipes for pulled pork from crockpot cookbooks and the Internet, I was getting more confused. I think I would just say, if your grandfather or grandmother made the same recipe for pulled pork sandwiches as you remember, so it belongs to a family recipe, and its region. Go ahead and stake your claim and enjoy this great classic of the south.
