Peanut butter and jelly recipes

You can do more with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Here are two fun recipes your kids will love.

Peanut butter and jelly turns

2 1 / 4 cup flour
1 / 2 cup milk
1 tablespoon teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 / 3 cup strawberry jam
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1 / 4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons butter
1 / 3 cup peanut butter
1 tablespoon melted butter

Mix 1 cup flour and yeast in large bowl. In a small saucepan, combine milk, sugar, 3 tablespoons of butter and salt. Stir over low heat until mixture is hot, making sure the butter is melted. Add this mixture to the flour and bakingmixture. Add the egg. With an electric mixer, beat mixture on low speed for 30 seconds. Then turn the mixer speed to high and beat for 3 minutes. Add the remaining flour and mix well. Cover mixture and let stand for 30 minutes. Roll out the dough until it makes a rectangle of 16 x 10 inches. Put the peanut butter mixture over half of the dough over 1 / 4 inch of edge. Then put the jam on top of peanut butter. Fold dough in half and is a rectangle of 16 x 5 inches. Press edges of dough to seal. Cut into strips about 1 cm and rotation of each band. Place on a greased baking sheet and brush with melted butter rounds. Cover and let rise until doubled in volume. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar or powdered sugar.

1 / 2 cup packed brown sugar

Add all above ingredients for cooking as well as above, except 1 cup flour, oats and jelly in a large bowl. Mix well. Add 1 cup flour and oats. Roll into balls 1 inch and place on baking sheet. With a fork that has been dipped in sugar balls flat in a crisscross pattern. Put 1 / 8 teaspoon of jelly in the center of each cookie. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes.
