How to Grill

Barbecuing is prevalent and the time honored ritual. Three out of four U.S. homes own barbecue grill and use it on average 4-5 times a month. What better way is there to have fun with friends and family as a barbecue? Before cooking on the grill, remove the meat from the refrigerator about an hour to warm it up. This makes the meat cook faster and juicier.

Food safety is a crucial issue, so always be sure you cook the meat completely. Cut the meat in the thickest part and make sure that juices are clear to be sure the meat is cooked. At any time, be sure to keep utensils to handle raw meat apart from those you use to cope with the grilled meat. Cross contamination of bacteria can be as dangerous as eating cooked meat. You want your barbecue to both fun and safe for all quantities so always be careful.

Remember to give your barbecue grill a thorough cleaning after each use. If you have a gas grill, you can start the grill for ten to fifteen minutes to be cleaned. Charcoal grills should be cleaned with soapy water and a stiff wire brush. Here are some very good recipes barbecue sauce, you can try at your next BBQ: Kansas City Rib Sauce
